Our effectiveness is highly dependent on our ability to communicate with and engage our Membership and the public at large. Most types of communications cost money. No money -- no communications -- no impact.
We rely on sponsorships by civic-minded organizations to help support our activities. Most sponsor provide sevices rather than contribute money.

Communications with Members. These costs are mostly monthly or annual charges for maintaining our website and email facility and for conducting surveys of our Members. Total costs are about $650 per year for the website and $375 per year for surveys.
Communications with the public. The most efficient way to reach large numbers of residents is through ads in the local newspapers. A half-page ad costs about $225; a quarter-page ad about $125.
Recruiting new Members. Our costs are primarily for print materials (e.g. brochure, posters) for distribution to the public. Total costs are about $300 per year.
Organized events. We can usually arrange monthly Members' meeting locations at no cost. On occasion, we may wish to organize a larger event (e.g. our annual meeting) that may involve expenses for rental of space, refreshments, etc.
